The Northeast Miami Soccer Leagues (NEMS)

Was created by coaches, administrators, and friends of the surrounding communities. The league was created in the fall of 2007 and has grown tremendously each year. This marks the third year of the league with a lot of changes being made to ensure each participant has the opportunity to play in a safe and fun environment. The league was developed to put emphasis on sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork. Our league, not only semi-competitive in the spring, also embraces the philosophy that each participant plays half the game. The league has beginners to advance players, emphasizing that each participants gets to plays and learns the basic rules in a friendly environment. Our divisions range from Under-6 age division to Under-12 division. This year we are adding a girls division as this is one of the new additions to the league. As always we are improving and trying to have the best league locally, regionally, and nationally. NEMS is primarily a recreational league striving to be a competitive travel league in the near future. Again this league was developed to teach each participant the fundamental skills and to promote good sportsmanship whether you are on the winning or losing team.

First and foremost I would like to thank everyone for participating in the NEMS Fall 2011 tournament. Everyone who has taken part in the organization is more than satisfied with the turnout of the tournament, the impeccable conduct of the teams, coaches, players, and parents; also due to every teams punctuality everything has been running smoothly and we've been able to witness some very brilliant games.
This was the most successful season for the NEMS League and we continue to strive to improve and make it bigger for next year.
Congratulations to the champions; U6 Boca Jrs, U8 Silver Brazilian Soccer, U8 Gold JCC, U10 Surfside, U12 Barza.
The City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes you have Happy Holidays and we see you in February.
Thanks again.
